Privacy Policy

01 Overview

X-Ray Vault is an offline-first reference toolkit for radiographers. We designed it to keep your information private: the app functions entirely on your device and does not require an account.

02 Data We Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no user accounts. We have no servers that receive your information.

03 Data You Create

Everything you add — technique charts, positioning notes, department and fluoro protocols, OR exam references, phone directory contacts, hospital codes, licenses, CEUs, and any images you attach — is stored only in local storage on your device. It never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it (see below).

04 Sharing & Backups

If you use the Share / Backup features, a backup file (or QR code) is created from your data and handed to the destination you pick (for example AirDrop, Files, Messages, or another X-Ray Vault install). You control where it goes; we are not involved in the transfer and never receive a copy.

05 Device Permissions

Permissions are always optional. The app asks only when you use a related feature, only through the standard system prompt, and only for on-device use:

• Camera — used to scan QR codes and capture reference photos.
• Photo Library — used to attach your own reference images.
• Notifications — used to show local reminders for license and CEU expirations. Reminders are scheduled on your device; no push server is used.

You are never required to grant these permissions to use X-Ray Vault. If you decline the system prompt, the app respects your choice: the action you started simply stops, and we do not repeat the request, show "access required" messages, or send you to Settings. You can continue using every other part of the app, and where it makes sense we offer an alternative — for example, attaching an image from your photo library instead of the camera. You can change any permission at any time in your device's own Settings, entirely at your discretion.

06 Children's Privacy

X-Ray Vault is a professional reference tool and is not directed to children. Because we collect no data, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

07 Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be included in a new release of the app with a revised date above.
